Mega Parc

Quebec City's Mega Parc has been completely renovated in a unique steampunk style, offering over 18 modern rides and attractions for the whole family.

As part of the renovation of Galeries de la Capitale's Méga Parc, we helped Ivanhoe Cambridge completely overhaul its customer experience. More than a simple architectural project, this transformation had to offer an immersive and distinctive universe, capable of captivating visitors and positioning the park as a must-see destination.

The steampunk universe blends Victorian aesthetics with futuristic steam-powered technologies. It combines gears, retro-futuristic machines and industrial ambience to create a world both ancient and imaginary.

Jules Verne, our inspiration: pioneer of the imagination and father of the steampunk aesthetic.

With the support of Ian Langohr, we had the chance to bring the MÉGA mascot to life.

And let's not forget Alain Gagné's steampunk version of the Zamboni.

How do you reinvent an indoor theme park by giving it a strong, memorable identity? Méga Parc needed to stand out with a distinctive experience that went beyond simply modernizing the facilities. The aim was to amaze visitors through unique moments and create a coherent journey where every point of contact with the park contributes to its identity and appeal.

We carried out a service mapping exercise to identify every opportunity for improvement in the visitor experience. By integrating immersive experiences into the park environment, we reinforced the DNA of the site and extended the Mega Parc universe beyond the attractions.

The customer experience is not limited to the facilities: it also involves the welcome and interaction with the staff. We designed and delivered workshops to raise staff awareness of their role in the day-to-day visitor experience, equipping them to maximize engagement and immersion.

Motion designer Simon Potvin worked with us to bring to life a steampunk universe spanning sea, land, sky and space.

From the moment it opened, the Mega Parc was an instant success, attracting the equivalent of an entire year's worth of visitors in just three months. This transformation illustrates the power of a well-orchestrated customer experience, where every detail contributes to creating a world where wonder and immersion meet.
